Infinity War: Cosmic Pager

Is that the 2.8" screen? If so, it's a little big for my design right now and I'm not sure if the libraries would transfer over easily with my screen, but I'll be looking into that too!

SPD5408 is a pretty common TFT. The ones I have are 2.4" screens on a shield. I mention SPD5408 in particular, because there is a large community driven library that has been released specifically for the SPD5408 that enhances the capabilities over what is available in the Adafruit TFT module.

If you're looking at using Adafruit GFX library for drawing the images in code, it should have 16 bit colour, and would be a pretty simple matter of either drawing shapes, lines or individual pixels. This would be probably the easiest and fastest method as no SD Card required, and should be extremely quick to render.

Can you post the links or other resources for doing this?

Here's a little update on the design of the bottom parts. I've been doing this between coding and still have some refining to do. These prints haven't been cleaned up with sandpaper or paint yet.

Looked pretty good to the transition to the red/blue screen so far.

I've added more detail but I have a little more tweaking to go. I was wondering if you knew how to add fonts to a custom library? I'm using one that improves on the original Adafruit library but it doesn't let me use fonts. The "sending..." part is what I want to change.

This is the error.

Added detail to the animation.

I'd have to take a look at the lib. files myself..

Do you have/did you create a new .h font file?

I'm not sure what it all comprises of... but its looking for one and cant find it. :)

I have it working! I plan on finishing up the animation tomorrow. Thank you for all the help. I'll post a video of the full animation when I'm finished.

I decided to work on the electronics of the pager instead of coding. I wanted to make sure they would fit inside the model I had made. I left enough room between the screen and the inside of the model to fit the buttons in.

I need to make the model just a little bigger to fit the teensy. If I buy another teensy I think I'll leave a few parts out to make it slimmer. I also plan on taking the SD card reader off the TFT to make more room since it's not needed. The white block in the picture is to fill in space where I plan on putting the battery.

I am in the planning stage of making my own. I was wondering if you will be sharing your electronics schematics and the coding for the animations. Thanks it looks awesome.

It looks like the square black button on the lower right side has a slight concave depression will you be adding this small detail to your replica?

Great work so far!

Quick read of it:

Look at it, in all its beaten up, probably-now-Samuel-L.-Jackson-dust-covered glory! It turns out, according to Schulz—who works at RISE, one of several VFX studios that worked on the film—the beeper was never actually a practical prop. It was entirely CG, as was a lot of the post-credits scene surprisingly, beyond, you know, the obvious bits like people turning into dust.

NOT TRUE... a crude one was made in couple days, but jazzed up by CGI and its larger than a real pager but was based off one... Thinking this is the upgraded one from Captain Marvel trailer we see nick putting back on his belt!
