Kit Bashing- Weapons and Gun question...

I want to do some kit bashing and I need various types of weapons/guns. I have been looking at some companies that make resin and brass barrels, and they do look nice, but it quickly adds up. If you just need one type of barrel for accurizing a specific build it's not that much. I however want a variety for different types of fighters, and that's were it added up really fast.

I'm sure some of you have made your own barrels, I have made some basic blaster cannons, but what about mini guns or the A-10 mini gun cannon? Also the ventilated barrels shrouds.. has anyone done anything like that and if so any tips or videos?

Evergreen makes some great assorted rods and tubing, they've worked great for me.

Agreed- you can slide the tubes over the next size down easily and build some great looking guns cheaply...
