McQuarrie X-Wing Version 2.0 Finished

Decided to shift gears and work on a smaller scale project before my next 1:24 arrives.

Picked up this little guy a few weeks back and decided to do some minor surgery to make a McQuarrie V.2 X-wing.
Quite a bit of sanding to alter the shape of the fuselage and nose. Also made the windows larger, thinned the frame, and made new panel lines.

I believe this guy is done.

This one Is based on Ralph McQuarrie’s other X Wing which can be seen in the background of one of his hangar scene artworks.
I used Galactic Resin’s 1/72 McQuarrie X Wing (original version) as a base and did some minor alterations to better fit the look of the 2.0 version. Reshaped the fuselage and nose with some heavy sanding, opened up the windows and made them a bit larger, adding some (sloppy, lol) scribed panel lines, and custom flash hiders for the cannons.
I guess it turned out ok. A bit on the sloppy side but I think I was a bit burned out and figured it was time time to bring this one to a close.

Thanks guys.
I also used this X- wing as a guinea pig to practicing some scribing.
The scribing on the wings and upper surface of the fuselage was me. Unfortunately there were one or two lines where the scriber escaped the guide and went wobbly. :/
