Figure it’s as good a time as any to start this new thread as the pictures are starting to roll in. It’s a new Blaster build we have on our hands it looks like. Much more inline with the original HERO while still using the same airsoft (HFC m712?) that was seen in TFA as it’s base...

I just decided the other day, after some coaxing from family and friends, to make this new version of Han's costume. I'll be watching this thread, thanks for making it!

Ya it certainly looks like it’s there doesn’t it. Also it’s seem to be using a different scope as well. Doesn’t look like there is a line in the scope as there was in TFA..

That along with the flash hider using the nut and the scope wheel itself, both different from how TFA was constituted..

Was the windage knob always brass? Wasn’t the original and TFA Black?

To be honest I’m not up to snuff with the ANH and TFA blaster

Yes I believe ur correct. Both were black. And the TFA one didn’t have numbers either. This here below is a pic of TFA one...

Looks like a steel DEC scope. And why is there all the sudden no image on Dave's website of the steel scope and mount combo... Hope he got lucky.

That is interesting. At one point I remember DEC stopped production to focus on a private commission build. I was always curious if it was for this film. Would make sense and they are a big part of that tested video. If Lucasfilm wanted to get this blaster right they would look to the people who have done so in the past. Maybe Lucasfilm looked to DEC for this blaster build. ??

Hmm. Didn’t something similar happen with the Tomenosuke blaster for 2049? That would be pretty amazing. Might even explain the interesting base gun for this version of the DL-44

The long "bell" is a DEC dead giveaway. I didn't see it until I got one of Todd's functional scopes and it was a 1/2" shorter.

So, having little knowledge of Han's blasters from movie to movie, does this one look more like TFA or ANH? For the moment, anyway, until I see some Solo: A Star Wars Story ones coming out.

I don’t think we have enough pictures of the new blaster yet

I wonder if they used the airsoft as a base like they did for TFA?

Cool. I'll hold off on buying a blaster and wait to see what happens here. If anyone knows, it'll be here first before anywhere else!
