Yeah I know what you mean.

First you need to remove the two rings from the lens. In each ring there are three tiny screws. Just loosen them up or remove them and you'll be able to remove the rings.

On top of the front shroud there is a round disk. Remove the lid from this disk and you'll see three screws. Just unscrew them and you'll be able to remove the disk. Might need to use some force though.

The top of each camera has a slight curve to it. So when you put them together there is an obvious seam.
I used a belt sander to flatten the top. Now they line up nicely.

Top greeblie seems to be some kind of coax adapter similar to dualcomm poe 200. Dimensions are off but it could be resized element on the concept.

This design fits in perfectly w/ the props from the films, and your execution of it is very well done.

Had you thought of either covering half of it in pleather or using krinkle finsih instead of just painting it black?
To my eye there seems to be a texture to it.
