My boss wears a mask many days in a row

My boss has a silicone mask that he wears many days in a row. He uses remover and my concern is his skin. He shaves his head bald. That's just his style. So I want to know what skin care routine I can incorporate into his daily routine. He uses a remover that the mask maker gave him, but I don't know how long he's supposed to use it. He wears the mask for a few hours several times in a week. Is there something I can do? Are there any signs of skin degradation I can keep an eye out for? He's in his mid 40's and African American if that makes any difference.

Okay, I have to ask..... You work for a guy who wears a mask while he is at work you say? I must know more about this man. What kind of mask? Is it the same one over and over? Is he a super hero one minute and and old wrinkly man the next? If he does wear these masks at work, what type of work allows him to wear a mask around?
Or, is he an actor and that is part of his job???? :popcorn

Yes I MUST know what he does that requires wearing a mask daily. If he’s not an actor is he a professional bank robber.

Otherwise I would think a nice face care regimen would be appropriate. Shoot me a PM for further details if care to hear what my wife does.

I just think of this:

Forget knowing WHY the boss wears a mask many days in a row.... I want to know why an employee even worries about their boss's skin regiment? :lol

I do not care about my boss's daily skin care procedure, and besides.... it is not my business to "incorporate anything into his daily routine". I think an employee's job duties should only go so far. So I am curious why this is even an employee concern?

The is one of the strangest first post I have seen here. More importantly, why the hell did he come to the RPF to seek guidance??? We collect movie props. We aren't skin care specialists. I suspect he needs to bring his question to a dermatologist forum, make-up or even some sort of theatrics forum.

VERY strange post indeed... En what worries me: he's from Holland, so VERY close to Belgium. If his / her boss is some kind of evil super-power, we are doomed. DOOMED!!!

Now seriously, give us details!

Is this your boss? I guess that would explain wearing a mask a few hours a week...

Or are they a Superhero?
A Super-villain perhaps?
I vote for a Super-villain. Only a villain would have an assistant to do their bidding for them...

Maybe there is a clue in their username "Strangelover"....Side note, I believe I dated a few people that could fall into that username...

Maybe consult a dermatologist.

They did this with 1990's Flash head piece.

He's a musician and uses the masks on stage. There are four but he tends to wear one for a stretch.

His face is his business, he's a performer and I don't want him ending up wrecking his time without the mask. His face is everything and these masks are a new addition.

The name is a hint. How is it do weird to care for another human being? Especially when their face is such an important part of this. I'm mainly concerned about remover being applied to his face so much. I want to know if it's drying or damaging his skin. He makes money off his face sooo.

What adhesives are being used? You mention a remover, what is it?

It’s a good practice to put Skin Saver on before application and after removal.

Assuming it is a silicone adhesive like telesis? The remover for Telesis actually incorporates vitamins into it and moisturizes the skin. Others like Supersolv pro do as well.
You may want to try to get him under a warm towel every few removals.
If his skin isn’t feeling tight, or showing signs of irritation, you are probably fine. Just be gentle with removal. Allow it the time it needs.. if you are ripping or pulling, skin is going with it.

Maybe put future questions in the Special Effects area as well. Sorry you’ve gotten so many unhelpful responses.
Best of luck.
