Enterprise D 1/650 Lighting

I’m attempting to jump into lit models. I’m starting with the 50th anniversary Enterprise TOS 1/600 and the Into Darkness Enterprise 1/500 as both of these have readily available kits for lighting. Most Enterprise D models are 1/1400 or 1/2500 and I have seen kits for those but would such a kit be able to scale up to the 1/650 Generations kit? Would I need to build from scratch?
