Cheesy/Retro Movie Thread

The janitor that is killed in chopping mall is supposed to be the same character from bucket of blood . Roger Corman's wife directed and put him in as a little easter egg to her husband's old movie . guess he faked his hanging ? IDK ???

This trailer cuts it with all the cool scenes up front, then towards the ends pops up a thing saying before you see it you should know....

I saw that while spending a summer visiting relatives in Germany. It didn't make any sense, but I chalked that up to it being my first week in country and I wasn't up to speed on speaking German yet. Some time later I saw it on cable in English, and it still didn't make much sense.

Megaforce! I'm not a person who likes watching bad movies just for the fun of it, but Megaforce is certainly one of those movies that is so god awful it is almost fun to watch.

Damnation Alley on the other hand--I always enjoyed that movie. That land rover was the bomb!!

What cheesy or retro movie our you planning on watching?

Just checked my listings and a movie I have not seen since I was a wee lad is coming on soon. The 1972 cheesy "horror" flick... Gargoyles!

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068622/

I think I was seven or eight when I last saw this. Can't wait for this cheese fest.
I remember when this was on TV the first time, and I thought the seen inside the desert emporium warehouse, with sounds from outside (wing flaps, scratching) was pretty effective.

I watched THEY CAME FROM BEYOND SPACE (1967, dir. Freddie Francis) on Amazon recently, and despite its ultra low budget, thought it was inventive. The props and set decoration were very simple, I swear that in one set they used a styrofoam packing insert, and just stuck lights on it. (Posted a review on AVSforum.com, in the “films prior to 1979” thread if anyone’s interested.)

The movie that birthed the "stealth is optional for this mission" meme, you know what to do.

Anyone ever seen Captain America (1990) starring Matt Salinger?
Aside from the crappy CGI and horrible fight choreography I actually liked it:

I especially liked the Comic book costume and was impressed how they sculpted the Red Skull's mask.
I just started a marvel rewatch in prep for IW. I might actually check out that 1990 Cap movie, I think I was distracted by girls when it was released and missed it! :lol
