So now i have to decide whether to keep the 70’s style wing design i did for the McQuarrie Resistance X Wing I did a few months back-

Or come up with a new 70’s style wing design.

I agree with Axlotl, but not for the same reason. I really like your design, but to me it looks more "Space: 1999" than "Star Wars".
