My Bandai Perfect Grade Millennium Falcon -finished!

That mount and stand sure makes a huge improvement over the Bandai one. It makes it much more of a showpiece you can have on display and makes it easier to appreciate the bottom view as well

Yeah, i couldnt keep this model on that bandai stand.

They really should spend a little time on a decent stand.

It's amazing!!!! Damn I'm so jalous I don't have this model to build...
You did a great paint job.. I love they little details you put on there.

Love it!!!

please don't take me serious I'm crazy :)

Beautiful! I would love some more info on the construction of the base if possible! Going to have to steal it verbatim haha

Thanks DS for the shout-out, it looks incredible with the model!

Really pleased you guys like the stand, the model was impeccable, so we had to do something cool for the base. I'll post the schematic on here tonight for you Shaun.

Yeah, the custom base turned out to be kind of a pain in the ass to make.
Adamhunter has the schematic sketch.
It has 4 small stand-offs, a piece of black plexi and a piece of mirrored plexi, which allows me to display the falcon with either color base.

I also made a second base which was very simple and basic but looks very nice as well.
I simply bought a 9”x12” blank black plaque from ebay, and then screwed on the Panavise CCTV stand.

So recently I made some minor mods to fix some things that were bugging me.
Wasnt too happy with the misting job I had done earlier and thought i went a bit too heavy handed so I decided to redo the panels by adding some darker values and redid the red panels with more of a boxcar red color.
I know its very subtle by im much happier with the new fixes.

Also tried out some “natural lighting” set up.
Less warm than the previous pics.
