Arc reactor mk1

I'm starting to build an arc reactor mk1 and I've found a few things in the hanger I work in that I would like to use in it. I am wanting to use the parts to make it look more like it could really work. So the big question I have is, is frowned upon in this community to make your own touches that are not accurate to the movie prop.

Accuracy is in the eye of the beholder. Do whatever you want that makes you happy. Just make sure you share it so that we can all enjoy.

Mk 1 arc reactor

I am starting my arc reactor. It isn't going to be screen accurate because I want to make it look like it could work. Here is my progress so far

Entirely your call. I've seen people modify the Iron Patriot armor to have Canadian colors and emblems. Have fun with it!

I prefer interpretative designs. Pure replication is cool too, but I prefer a personal expressive work.
