Titanfall Cosplay (Jack Cooper)

Greetings, everyone! This is my personal rendition of what Jack Cooper would look like in Titanfall 3, loosely based on what he looked like in Titanfall 2. While most of this is pretty original, I have made minor changes here and there to add what I believe is a more realistic level of detail. Feedback and comments welcome! Feel free to subscribe to my instagram for future content updates! Any feedback would be greatly appreciated... as I have yet to get any comments on all this hard work!

Added decals to the jump-kit to finish the look. This was accomplished by finding images that would roughly match what I was going for, re-scaling them/photo editing, applying them to the jump-kit with Elmer's glue stick to seal them in place and adding a light layer of Krylon Clear Glaze in a rattle-can.

Also fashioned together this singal-point tactical sling for when I get my hands on the 3D-Printed CAR SMG kit...I did all the weathering on it and added a leather shoulder-piece to make it "personalized" and weathered.

It will sit over my torso in the fashion pictured in the example (posted directly below).

Love this..... Best cooper I've seen. I think the whole costume would benefit from a bit more weathering on the jumpsuit and pouches. Weathering tells a story and cooper has a great story. This would look great on a mannequin when you're not wearing it.

Thanks for the first comment! Believe it or not, when I finished spray-painting the flight suit (from flat black to Colonial Red), the seams and bending points on the uniform began to flake a bit (not enough to look tacky or cause problems), but it does look "worn" and weathered if you will. The pictures don't really do THAT part of it justice. I really appreciate the feedback. I am pouring my heart and soul into this creatively! Willing to take any weather suggestion you might have for the pouches though.

Woah, it looks so GOOD! The way the helmet lights up is just unreal. What mesh-like material did you use inside the helmet to give it that look? (it looks almost like the metal mesh on a speaker system) I have been looking for something similar!

The helmet I did not make, I ordered it with the special edition of the game. However, best I can tell it's etched plastic. Laser cut probably?

So I finished the last prop of my cosplay today and the results are gorgeous. May I introduce! The Titanfall 2 C.A.R. SMG!!! As a bonus, all my extra mags on my chest-rig and left-hand side leg pouches.

I also did a brief photoshoot of the completed cosplay! Also adding photos to OP.

The paint job on the gun is stellar! It looks so real! Amazing work — I love that orange, it's such a rich colour. :love

Thank You! The gun was painted exactly like the in game model. I paid special attention to details and even made an ammo counter reader on the rear sight area with decals. I need to find more proper decals for the labels on the gun. Problem is that no high resolution pictures exist as far as I know...

This is great, fantastic work! Did you repaint that Vanguard Pilot Helmet Replica, or did it come like that? Your paint job looks better than the product photos I saw on Amazon.

Either way, this turned out awesome. Honestly I was not a fan of the first Titanfall but Titanfall 2 features one of the funnest single-player campaigns ever, seriously I've played it from start to finish at least 5 times.

First of all, thank you very much for your comment and support! My helmet is a repaint of the Vanguard Pilot Helmet Replica. I added weathering and more foam padding inside the helmet. I also have plans to add cooling fans (MUCH NEEDED IN FLORIDA!) and a voice modulator (so I can change my voice) when time and more importantly money allows.

I can't possibly agree more! That was the main reason I built this cosplay. Because Titanfall needs more awareness. It was overshadowed by more well known, but inferior games when it was released. I really hope the developers will see my cosplay and realize it's worth making a 3rd installment.

Awesome, the weathering effects you added drastically improved the overall look, the stock paint job made the helmet look like more of a plastic toy than a quality replica. Also, great work on the jump-kit decals!

Regarding the jump suit, you said you started with a black flight suit and spray painted it red? Do you recall what type of flight suit it is? Did it already come with short sleeves, or did you have to customize it? What kind of spray paint did you use? I've painted portions of flight suits before, but I used fabric paint. It worked great but I had to apply it with a paint brush which was incredibly tedious.

And yeah, I completely agree, after what a great game Titanfall 2 turned out to be, I'm dying for a sequel!

Thank you! The paint job on the helmet was pretty easy with some patience and dry brushing! The black flight suit was made with a standard one I purchased from amazon (I can't find it any longer but it doesn't mean you can't find it in general). I used Rustoleum Satin 2x Ultra Cover "Colonial Red" to paint it to the right color. I used about 4 cans of it and applied several layers.

Jumpkit decals were made by googling "caution tape" and warning labels on aircraft. I resized them in paint and printed them. Cut them to size, applied with glue-stick and sealed with Krylon triple-thick glaze.

Thanks for the info! Be sure to share that interview with us once it's up! :thumbsup

I sure will! And you are quite welcome. I really loved putting this together. Half the time I looked like I fell into a bucket of paint and rolled around in it while building this.
