My ideas for TLJ remastered, a bit of editing some cgi sfx and a few reshoots can save us all
Scene 1
Poe Dameron and his new boosted x-wing are on a recon mission, the Empire has created a new ship, the Dreadnaught. Poe flies by it taking sensor readings and during a strafing run drops a tracking device, he then outruns the Imperial CAP and gets on to an Alliance ship and escapes to hyperspace
Scene 2
Rey seeks Lukes help, he whines about how hes done and wont train her, but she follows him, emulates him and trains herself
One day she notices, Lukes X wing seem to have disappeared, Later she sees hes still there, but she notices he now seems to have 2 human hands
chewie munches on a tasty Porg, he takes out a small knife and carves a figure of han solo out of a Porg bone
Scene 3
At the Rebel fleet over Yavin
There is discussion about the recon scans, apparently the Empire has new technology allowing them to track ships through hyperspace, theres no way to hide, evacuating Yavin wont help because the Empire can track them, The Empire arrives theres a big space battle, they split up and evacuate. A small force heads towards the crystal planet, to investigate the possibilty of expanding the small base there already. The only way this can work is if they can defeat the new hyperspace tracking technology. According to Bothan spies The inventor of this technology has a gambling problem and is not the most loyal person, interested only in money. he is on Canto Bight the gambling city and the Empire, knowing his weakness is guarding him, Finn is sent to capture/kidnap/pay him to invent a way to defeat his invention. Rose Tico the janitor sneaks onto is ship and joins him
Scene 4
Rey and Ran have their force connection, she and Luke argue, Luke is frightened by her strength she leaves (you also see Luke has both Hands)
Scene 5
On Canto Bight, there are wanted posters everywhere for Finn, they find DJ and convince him, there is a battle with stormtroopers, they re captured.
Scene 6
yoda and Luke talk, Luke says he wants nothing to do with this, the force must balance itself, yoda tells him whether he likes it or not he has been the master for both Rey and Ren and save them both he must
Scene 7
Chewbacca shows Rey the Falcons stealth escape pod used for smuggling, he flies the Falcon to Rens ship, she sneaks onboard and rescues, DJ, Finn, Rose, the pod wont fit all 4 she tells them she’s staying
Scene 8
Rey gets “captured” Rey Ren fight Snoke, Rey joins Ren, there is a flash of light, Snokes body disappears leaving only his clothes, in Rens quarters Vaders helmet lights up and seems to heal itself before vanishing, you hear the screams of Ren and Rey and Vader stands reborn a force demon
Scene 9
The Empire arrives at Crait, the small group of rebels fight with modified snowspeeders as DJ works frantically on the new anti tracking technology, the Empire is at the door of the base, Luke arrives mysteriously, he walks out the door, the shoot him to no effect, he says face me Ren, instead Vader walks out, Luke screams “thats impossible!” they fight, Vader sees Luke has both hands and slices him in half and Luke disappears, during the saber fight DJ has finished the jammer for the hyperspace tracker and Chewie saves the day by picking up the surviving Rebels. On the Alliance flagship Leia hears Luke calling her, she smiles and realizes he is alive
Scene 10
Obi wan is a force ghost, Luke is in a cave on Tattoine looking at his mechnical hand. Obi Wan explains that with the Force no one is truly gone, but Vader is not Anakin but a demon, something hes only heard of and he draws power from Rey and Ren, they are both in pain and that is what Luke feels from them. Luke says “this changes everything” Obi Wan says your are the Last Jedi, you must follow your destiny, he picks up his saber and leaves the cave
Luke was a force projection the entire movie until the last scene, the movie sets up a Vader vs. Luke rematch the themes, good vs. evil, redemption and for the last movie self sacrifice
