It's a completely different kind of movie than Bone Tomahawk. Same writer/director but he really shows he's not a one film wonder with this one.
I wasn't sure how'd I'd like it at first, but once you get past the first few scenes, it's easy to go along for the ride. It didn't go in the direction I thought it would, and man, how refreshing was that?
It was a damn good flick.

Brawl on Cell Block 99
Anyone else see this? Great exploitation flick by the guy behind Bone Tomahawk. Outstanding performance by Vince Vaughn. Not for the easily disturbed. Kind of a slow burn (I thought of Drive a few times) but that works to its advantage. Tense, emotionally engaging, deliciously schlocky. Loved it.
