Based on a thread from another forum, it's being produced by HMS, the same studio that worked on Roddenberry's previous releases and the various Star Trek series.

That first sound bite for the Phaser sounds like A bad recording of a TOS BSG Laser Pistol

The Iso chips are cool though

I would love to see them do the Cobra Head Phaser but I'm not going to pay $899 for a finished one and if I wanted a kit Myron makes a great one. See how long they last doing props again.

I'd be thrilled if the electronics for the TMP tricorder were re-released.

I hope they offer more kits. I still have their Mark VII tricorder kits, which I’ll build...someday.

But $399 for a kit? That’s a bit steep IMHO...
