1/72 (or close) Clone Trooper Figures

Hi all,

I'm thinking about my next build which will be the 1/72ish Revell Republic Gunship model from a few years back. The clone trooper figures it comes with are.... not great... Does anyone have any ideas for replacements before I start looking into commissioning a model to get printed on Shapeways?

I'm looking for Phase 1 (Episode II) figures in a few different poses. I'd also like to replace the pilot figures if anyone knows a good replacement for those.

Thanks!

I would love some as well.

Micromachine Figures would normally be good, but sadly I don't remember then doing any Clone Troopers. Still the Micromachines Yoda might be a good addition to the group

At one point Studio Starforge was making a clone trooper set but hat never panned out

Speaking of the Republic Gunship, I found a great source for the two pods on either side

I just picked them up and they seem perfect. They come in separated halves and there is even a perfect little part to attach the support arm to it

Wow, thanks for the source on those pods! I'll definitely pick some up.

I'll go ahead and see what can be done in terms of shapeways prints. Will definitely let you know what I come up with!

If anyone else is interested, I commissioned a 3D model that I have made poses of, and can print on my own DLP printer. Here's a sample of some painted figures (painted by my talented brother)-

I have a few more poses for gunners, kneeling guys, and pilots (with the Episode 2 pilot helmet). I'm considering doing a run of a set of 15ish figures (enough to fill a gunship, plus pilots and gunners). If anyone is interested, drop me a PM.

EDIT:
Forgot to mention model credits-

Awesome figures. Can these be scaled down to around 1/100 ?. I have a diorama plan I'm putting parts together for, that includes an Action Fleet Gunship andI'd love to be able to have Clone Troopers for it. Would probably want more than one set.

Check eBay for Force Unleashed Battle Packs. Details are soft but they might work.

Not sure if the above was directed at me. Those are kind big. Around 1/29 or 1/30 scale. The Revel model is around 1/72 scale.
The Action Fleet version I mention is around 1/100. Both are significantly smaller than the figures you mentioned. I actually Thought
at one point casting those in Hydro shrink. The reduction rate, I found to be too inconsistent on other things I tried it on, so never went ahead.

1/100 might be possible, but you're going to lose detail, even at the 35um resolution these are printed at. I'm mostly concerned about the blaster. I will give it a shot and let you know!

Also, here's a picture for size comparison to the ones included in the Revell kit (ignore the broken foot, this was an old test print)

Thanks mate. Not all that concerned with the rifle. At that scale its little more than a rod with knubs on it. Let me know how it goes.
