1 Week Ago  Jan 8, 2018, 11:31 PM - Life Size Nutcracker made from pots, planters, and PVC Pipe (pic intense) #1

I've always wanted a Life Size Nutcracker for my own but they are all too expensive so I decided to make my own on a budget using pots, planters, pvc pipe, and some wood for internal structure.

I made it so his left bent arm that will hold the scepter (wooden chair leg and finial) can move. I also had a nice bonus with his body doing a half rotation because I used a valve box made for sprinkler control units as his pelvis area.

I used caulk and lightweight spackle and sanded with 220 grit for smooth seams where each section or pot met before painting.
For the toes and hands I used foam balls from a craft store.

Just basic Krylon spray paint, however, I wish I would have primed the pvc pipe because some of the paint came of after untaping. The details consisted of jewels, ribbons, and tassels from the craft store.

Thanks! I wasn’t sure how it would be received here. It means a lot to me.
