Blade Runner: 2019 box in 2049

Creating a PKd box as first purchased by Rick Deckard in 2017, but found in his Las Vegas penthouse in 2049. Taken some cues from Adam Savage's brilliant case build as a starting point for the exterior labels. This is clearly imagined and not something seen on screen. Given there isn't much wood in the BR world, it's based on an aluminium box manufactured in 1980. Need to weather some more (but not much given Deckard likely took care of it while alone in LV); and need to install the CNC foam inserts arriving in about two weeks... more photos plus the contents once it all comes together...

From 2019 to here in 2049:

Nice... quite curious how it turns out.

Perhaps as inspiration: The Blaster is pretty beat up, so I think you can weather the case a lot without loosing the "authentic" feel. Also, when you fly with the case, it would've had some signs clearing it for carry-on? So some labels from different liners would be possible (I'm thinking Aeroflot or India, to give you a excuse to trow in some Cyrillic or Hindi)

Anyway, keep us posted.

Here are three more decals not all of which will be applied. As with the others, am using 3M spray mount so they can be repositioned or removed without hurting the surface. First is Air India, last is Roscosmos* and the line below POCKOCMOC translates roughly to USSR pleasure (Soviet Happy).

All are c.1980.

Which one or two would you use? Avoiding clutter...

*had a bad experience last year on Aeroflot. The Soviet/Russia space flight Off-World might be an experience.

Inclined to only put one on anyway - perhaps a modified W-Y / Off-World. Foam inserts should arrive early this week.

Remote People - any chance the pics for this post are still around? Would love to get a better look at this project and hear more about how/where you got the laser cut polyurethane foam inserts.
