The Last Jedi Screening WARNING SPOILERS!

I feel like some easy questions are being dodged here by the Pawn. Not saying he did or did not see the film, just an observation. If this synopsis is true, it will make this the first Star Wars film I walk out of and make Episode IX the first that I do not see in a theater, regardless of how well the execution. It sounds like a bad fanfic and worse than many of the fake leaks I have read. Just my 2 cents although I guess we don't have much context here.

Is there anything you could tell us about Poe's story arc? Does he finally meet Rey?

Just got off the phone with my mate who was at the premiere. And while he was grumpy as hell because I called him 27 times this morning til he answered, he was nice enough to share the general plot and whatnot.

In response to the Poe and Rey meeting he said yes but it's little to no dialogue shared from what he remembers.

The funny thing though is he pretty much confirmed exactly what all these angry children on here are yelling at people for saying. Yoda convinces luke. Afterwards he sees the hologram and it seals the deal.

As for the Kyle being bad at the end still, he said that's still left up for interpretation. As in, he's still very conflicted by the end and the line of good vs evil is much more blurred by the end than the OP mentioned.

He said the real thing that will have people talking is the EXTREMELY meta humor. He CLAIMS that the humor was almost deadpool level meta and that some fans are going to be very upset about it while others will really appreciate it.

Finally he said Finn steals the show until the end were Adam Drivers Kylo makes a damn near Oscar worthy emotional performance.

@the Pawn

Though I am certainly not your biggest fan, I do appreciate you taking the time to give us all a preview and putting up with all of our annoying questions. I think some of the new people that signed up just to glean advance information, please remember the real reason for this forum, props. I personally find it in bad form for you to sign up just to pester an established member with questions when you clearly have no appreciation for the hobby only to disappear after Friday (or sooner). The very thought that someone new would come on here and call an established member a lair and show a total lack of respect, wow! I find it disgusting.

Pawn, thanks again. Many of us appreciate you taking the time.

R2 did show the hologram. After that yoda talked to Luke. It feels like yoda was the one that convinced Luke though.

Finn fights phasma and she dies in the fight. He beats her and then she falls to her death

Nothing about mustafar in the movie.

Nothing really about romance with Finn/Rey.

Okay, two questions if you don't mind. Being a prop forum and all... Do we see Luke's green lightsaber from ROTJ and does Rey replace the Skywalker saber after it is destroyed?

Oh look, a new member magically appears to confirm this... :rolleyes

Lol. Trust me, I appreciate the cynicism. I would shake me head too haha.

But I only posted here because this forum seems to be more active right now on TLJ than Reddit and I felt special for knowing things so I wanted to make a post.

Here's the thing though, I would not have made this post if I weren't 100 percent confident in the validity of the statements. I'm ok with being torn apart. Because come the 14th I'm gonna have the best tea sipping party at my computer desk I've ever had.
:-D

Hey, fair enough. I don't know Pawn and I haven't been around here as long as some but my gut reaction to his spoilers was that they were crap, not that he was lying. By saying that I mean that if they are true then it's gonna take a hell of a lot of context for me to enjoy the film. Not because of the lack of explanation for Rey or Luke dying or any other single thing but because of a combination of factors. Perhaps I should've just not read any spoilers without the context to go with them.

Then again, this could all be an elaborate prank and I will laugh my butt off if it is.

Can you talk something about the First Order? If Snoke dies, who will be ruled it? And what about "competition" between Hux and Kylo Ren?
Thank you for what you doing!)

From what I was told, it seems that Hux is running things now and that there are PLENTY of generals and people in positions of power that could replace him too. I didn't think to actually ask what the exact hierarchy of power is after this, but he did also mention that the generals of the first order are shown to fear smoke, but not particularly like him or want him around anyways. The first order is shown to have actual political motivation as opposed to just being evil and that's it.

We mostly talked about the humor though simply because he felt it would be the most dividing issue. I guess at one point Finn actually looks at the camera and makes a snarky comment deadpool style and he said that people were legitimately confused in the audience. I guess this meta humor is seen white a bit throughout. Not sure how I'm gonna feel about it... honestly it sounds awful lol. But I like what I've heard plot wise.

So Luke *dies* but doesn't just die... Does that just mean force ghost or is there more to it?

Also, Do we see Luke's green lightsaber from ROTJ and does Rey replace the Skywalker saber after it is destroyed?.

I think hes refering more to HOW he dies that's special. He's dead. But he made sure his death would protect people from the dark nature of the force. He didn't want to explain it to me in detail, because I want SOME excitement going in, but Luke basically seals the force. I know I'm going to get a thousand questions but this is exactly how it was described to me and no further. Meaning i dont have the answers to those details any ways lol. MAYBE I can bug him about it tonight but I guarantee I'm not the only one hammering him about this **** so it's likely I won't hear from him again til Friday. And I wouldn't blame him.

When I did press more about it he told me that the nature of the force is a huge topic of discussion in the plot and that the dark and light side no longer exist. It's just the force. Sorry if that's not descriptive enough :-(

Resistance is blown to hell at beginning.
There is a plot of about tracking to lightspeed so Resistance will not go to lightspeed. Entire movie is FO chasing Resistance.
Finn are dispatched to find how not to track in lightspeed.
Finn and Rose and BB-8 goes to Casino looking for Code Cracker to get him onboard to disable tracking device of FO.
Poe is till hot shot pilot and goes rogue pilot and blows up missle/air defenses. Leia is pissed at him and demotes him for going Rogue. He causes mutiny and towards end of film but helps Resistence escape to planet.
Luke uses his lightsaber in two flash back scenes.
Rey leaves Luke and goes to fight Kylo.
HUMOR Porgs are everywhere. Chewbacca accidentally kills one and almost eats one. Three porgs show up with sad eyes and he does not.
Battle between Rey and Kylo is not final battle of movie. Kylo kills Snoke. Kylo and Rey team up. Rey does not turn. Rey escapes. Reys lightsaber is destroyed and does not have one at end.
Final battle is between Luke and Kylo but Luke is still on Achto and projecting his image and never leaves Achto. He has so much Force power to project himself. He dies at end. Force drained.
Luke does talk to Leia but its his projected image.
Kylo is super evil at end. Luke should have killed him when he had a chance at academy or will he be redeemed in #9.
Movie ends with everyone on Falcon reunited Rey, Leia, Poe, Finn, R2, Chewbacca, BB-8. Resistance is really done. Rey does not have lightsaber at end. But can retrieve Luke’s on Achto.
Also movie ends with Leia alive so 9 should have been her movie most likely converting Kylo back to good side. No sure where they will go with that now.

My thoughts:

I thought it would be cool if Luke showed up after Snoke dies with Rey and Kylo teaming up being the Super Bad Guy. But NO does not happen.

Also while on Achto Snoke allows REy and Kylo to talk through force so you think these two are Brother and Sister or related but this turn out not to be true. But does lead to Kylo betraying Snoke and taking Control at end.

Rey is the NEW JEDI at end and Kylo is the DARTH VADER BAD Guy at end.

Also Rey learns that her parents were junk dealers who left her on Jakku. She is a nobody.

Kylo says all those quotes about the past is gone in movie many times. Luke too I think.

Thank you, I appreciate the clarification! I still say that all sounds terrible but I will take your word for it being a great film. I guess I will find out in a few days!

No romance at all. Finn and Rey unite at end when she saves their ass from FO. Right before escape on Falco. Projected Luke is fighting Kylo at this time. Finn and Poe do not have real big story arc. Finn defeats Phasma but she falls of cliff.
