It looks wayyy too fanservice to me, sorry. I am a total geek and nerd about all things that everyone here is interested in. And maybe it is old age crawling up on me already or at last (turning 47 next year), but the trailer had too much of a "see, we did this reference, we know our stuff, we can be funny and laugh at ourselves AND we are deep. SO deep! And emotional!".
It may be a serious effort in filmmaking, but it looks like a students film to me. I will definitely watch it, but I am not really excited about it.
