Bondo spot putty - will rubbing alcohol affect it?

Does anyone know if rubbing alcohol will affect Bondo spot putty? I have some metal pieces I was going to clean before I paint, and I started thinking that maybe the alcohol might mess up where I patched some pieces attached to the metal. I use acetone to smooth it down, so I don't know if rubbing alcohol would do something similar.

I doubt it. Rubbing alcohol is vanilla compared to acetone.

Agreed. Rubbing alcohol is what you might use to remove an oily residue left by products like bondo, but acetone is what you use to chemically remove the bondo.

Thanks. That's what I thought, but then I saw someone talking about using it to smooth it down.

When it's still wet, alcohol helps smooth it. Doesn't do a thing to it once it's cured.
