Had some time to work today so I made a quick version of Thor's belt from Ragnarok. Here's my process:
I made a template using some reference photos in Inkscape and cut the appropriate pieces of leather to size. I'm using full grain vegtan in 7/8oz. The belt is 1.75" wide.

I've got them dyed now. They'll dry a bit then I'll bevel and finish the edges, finish the back side, and seal the front with a wax finish.
And the finished project (for now). I'm pretty sure the button stud attachment in the rear is the same as the actual prop. Next up I need to make the disc that sits in the center of the belt. I'm also thinking about doing the shoulder harness which is a pretty similar design.
