Moebius TOS Galactica build

Hello,

my name is Dirk, usually I build wooden ship models from the 18th century but as I needed a break I switched sides and do some SciFi plastic stuff :)
At the moment I have the Moebius TOS Galactica on my table on the finish line followed by the Zvezda Star Destroyer and the Alpha Eagle :)

I like to give a quick overview here about my Galactica build. I did some customizing, used the great parts by Tony, the PE stuff, light and so on.

This is my first plastic build since ages and my first airbrush attempts ... still need to learn a lot I guess ...

So pictures :)

That's the actual state as today. Next will be panel lighting maybe then clear coat decals a bit washing and final coat. Last the base.

cheers,

Dirk

Very cool work so far. It looks like you have every after market part and then some!

That looks so cool! Seeing your ships made me think of how a Battlestar would have looked if it was built in the 18th Century... from wood! :)

Great work on the Battlestar

I'd like to see some more of the inside of the hangar if possible

Those other ships are fantastic

Thanks!

Forgive me if it was mentioned, but is that the paragrafix photoetch set? I like the look of the landing bay interior

After the decals another clear coat. Next will be some light weathering and washing and then finally the dull coat. It's a lot of learning as this is my first plastic model.

cheers,

Dirk

Personally at this scale I wouldn't do a wash it looks perfect as it is, I see many small models like the star destroyers were people do a wash and its way overdone and kills the illusion of the massivness of the ship.
