Dark Forces Series: Imperial Repeater

I love Dark Forces, one of the best video games of the 90's and one of the best expanded universe stories. Unfortunately they are not cannon anymore, however my love for them has no faded. In the honour I plan to replicate all of the original Dark Forces weapons, starting with the Imperial Repeater. This is a fun project as I don't have a lot of reference material, only a pixelated image or two.


I'm in the middle of 3D printing a proto-type, should be posting pictures soon. Look forward to comments/feedback before I print the real thing and finish/paint it.

V1 of the 3D model, almost done printing. For the power cells (brass cylinders) I'll be cutting up some PVC pipe. I have an aluminium frame for the stock and core of the blaster.

V1 printed, ran out of filament at 98% of the barrel shroud, so ignore that for now.

some planned changes:
1.) foregrip will be increased in size slightly
2.) main grip will be reduced slightly
3.) trigger and trigger guard will be added
4.) stock arm will be reduced by 1-2"

That's really awesome!

Finished this a while ago but was lazy in getting the pictures up. Most of it is 3D printed, with a steel frame and a steel rod thru the fore-grip. The trigger moves, but no sounds/lights yet. Was thinking of making a SFX version or move on to another Dark Forces blaster.
