The Hunted knife build

I’ve always loved the knife in the Movie, the Hunted. It’s impossible to find an accurate replica now, so I decided to make my own.

Got some leaf spring...

And heated it up till it could be pounded straight.

Drew it on, and then hours of cutting with the Dremel.

Next the bevels and grinds



Then the heat treat and quench.

I was just watching the knife fights from this the other day, what an underrated movie! Loved the design of the knife as well, it was really unique. Nice work!

I lvoe this! I remember seeing this as a kid and loving the knife. I always thought it was a Ka-bar Warthog, but this post reminded me that it was a custom deal.

The screen-used blade was made by knifesmith David Beck.

Incredible job! I've always wished I could learn knife-making/blacksmithing, I find it utterly fascinating.
