Something new about the modding Jenni?
It would be great to find out more about the expo Tie helmet and if there is any connection to the old DP CA/Rubies DLX helmets?

Update on theTIE helmet.
Doing some bondo, and sanding but there is still a lot left to do before it's ready to be painted. the right side needs a bit more bondo to bulk it up.

I apologize for not updating in a long time. I got sidetracked with other projects, but I'm back to working on the Tie.
Unfortunately the bondo work cracked and separated so I have decided to remove as much as I can and start over from scratch.
I do have green bubble lenses (as seen on the Vader's elite helmets) installed. I'm going to be looking for a lighter, more easily sandable material for the resculpt. Any suggestions?

Is the helmet plastic of vinyl?
How thick is the filling to be?

Asking since epoxy putty may be an option.

They are made with rotocast vinyl. Very flimsy, and easily warps. I just need to thicken up the bottom front and the sides since they are too thin.

if it's flexible then pretty much anything is going to pop off with movement.
You could try roughing up the surface and trying epoxy putty. (no guarantees)

I'll try to stiffen it up with carbon fiber. That should help a bit.
