Thoughts on these helmets?

Hi folks,

Always been a fan of Judge Dredd but not nearly as experienced as I am with Star Wars or Indy.

I'm looking for the best possible quality Judge helmet. Could be either the 1995 version or the more recent film.

How does this one look? Anyone familiar with the maker / provenance of the mold?

Also found this one, which looks good:

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

I have a Mind magic helmet.
It’s one of the background judges helmet.
Made from scratch to order and he is a good dude.

Here’s a pic of mine

I’ve since adjusted the liner in mine so it sits lower on my head

The first helmet pictured above is cast by Mind Magic from moulds made from one of the HOJ Guard helmets from the film that was sold by PropStore in 2013. The HOJ helmet has exchanged owners several times (3 owners if I recall correctly). Mind Magic is the 3rd owner of the moulds. Mind Magic does not own the HOJ PropStore helmet itself. I believe The Andy Mansion Collection is the current owner. The HOJ Guard helmet did not have a separate helmet badge. Steve from Mind Magic made a fan sculpted badge to convert the helmet casts to street judge versions.

The 2nd helmet link from PropsNStudio is a fan sculpt cast. Fulvio from PropsNStudio was known as Pannaus Props back in 2013. At the time his fan cast Judge helmet was one of the smaller sized helmets available. I have his and still patrol with it to this day. Considering he made it completely from scratch using only photo references by traditional methods and not 3D, it is a very accurate build. Nice guy too!

Both makers offer fully finished helmets or if you have build skills both makers also offer raw helmet casts. To save money and earn some RPF points, I trimmed, sanded, primed, painted, and installed my own visor and padding for my helmet.
