My new grips came out great, smooth and shiny. The new Alumilite mold made a big difference! Starting to get the hang of this resin casting thing.

Now, what did I do with those nozzles from my X-Wing Games Tantive....?

Just got handed my 3D printed magazine for my Blaster. Needs a little clean up. I'll check the fit tonight and post some pics to see if it fits.

Oh man, I was totally thinking this thing needs the magazine as a separate part...seems it would be an easy thing to print or cast for it.

Got the two mag parts glued, puttied and sanded. Still a bit more work to do before primer. Added a strip of styrene at the front and back of the mag well for the mag to seat up against. I'll trim that after it sets and do final fitting of the magazine.

You did a really nice job cutting that magazine out of the gun! I keep looking at it and thinking about it but ill probably buy a jewelers saw first.

I ended up printing the magazine again vertically because I had too much ribbing on the bottom from supports....if I ever get some coffee in me ill go grab it off the printer and make sure it came out nice, lol!

edit: It didnt work, the lower areas of the bottom ended up just slots...the rest is beautiful, so ill try again and run it a bit slower and try 100% infill instead of 30.

Finally got some primer on this! Starting to look like a proper blaster than a squirt gun. The magazine fits great, no need for magnets or anything. Waiting on my 3 and 5mm LEDs.

Is there a write up anywhere on how you did your resin grips? Ive never messed with resin before but I think this might be a good place to start.

Just what I posted here. I watched a lot of YouTube videos to learn how. Highly recommended to do. Proper materials and preparation are key. I couldn't tell you how many times I read the directions on the mold and resin kits before starting.

Soulinertia is selling grips or will be soon.

I plan to get the Soulinertia kit for the fullcock, but figured maybe id cast these grips for a 3d print project or something...I need to learn how eventually. So the mold can be made from regular hardware store silicone?
