3D printed DH-17 Blaster - work in progress

Hi,

Thought I'd share some images of the DH-17 blaster I'm currently modelling in 3D ready to be printed on my 3D printers.

This will be a multipart kit and I'll post progress pictures as I make more progress.

I'm thinking that once I has the base shape it should be easy to build a few different versions.

I know folks like OdiWan72 are tired of me asking for this... but here it goes...

I would love and idealized version of the basic casting. With the thick trigger guard and and what appears to be under-scaled to that of a sterling. Something that I could add scope and greebes to separately.

The version of the DH-17 in this post is that of the crew of the Tantive VI. The DH-17 was also seen in ESB, ROTJ and R1 with variations to size and design.

Will do, if anything weird happens, but it all looks solid. This is perfect timing for you to be putting this model out. I've been looking to make a blaster based on this rifle for a bounty hunter style costume.

I spent a bit more time working on the sight top rail of the ESP version. I've seen pictures of the rear sight being smooth and also with saw tooth cut outs and I decided to make both. When you print this version you can choose which rear sight you want.
The little drive shaft was interesting to model in Sketchup to say the least.
