Painting questions

Earlier this year i got back into modeling and I have been exclusively using acrylic.
I just got a new large McQuarrie X wing and im thinking of going with Tamiya primer and base, however I want to do some of the weathering, markings and panel colors with acrylic airbrush.
Will that be an issue on top of Tamiya spray paints?
