The Propstore have a foam rubber Mjolnir from the Thor (2011) film in their upcoming live auction. The top of the hammer has a raised disc with runes caved in it. The runes are written in are in Elder Futhark, which was used during the migration era (2nd to 8th century) giving way to the Younger Futhark runic alphabet around the same time that the Viking era started and the Old Norse language was developing. So technically speaking as Thor is a Viking era deity it’s a little anachronistic to use Elder Futhark.

History lesson over, here’s the picture from the Propstore’s auction catalogue:

Here are the runes and their transliterations:
ᚺᛖ
he

ᚹᛟᚺ
woh

ᚹᛇᛖᛚᛞᛋ
wæelds

ᚦᚺᛇᛋ
Þᚺæs

ᚺᚠᛗᛗᛖᚱ
Hfmmer

ᚲᛟᛗᛗᚨᛜᛞᛋ
kommŋds

ᚦᚺᛖ
Þhe

ᛚᛇᚷᚺᚦᛜᛇᛜᚷ
læghÞŋæŋg

?ᛜᛞ
?ŋd

ᚦᚺᛖ
Þhe

ᛋᚦᛟᚱᛗ
sÞorm

I believe that is meant to transliterate into English as:
he who wields this hammer commands the lightning and the storm

There are a few odd choices of runes (like not using the tiwaz (ᛏ) for a t), and unlike real runic inscriptions the words are split up with a space. There also looks to be some runic typos, like the a from 'hammer' has been drawn incorrectly and looks more like an f instead.

Hopefully that’s some help to anyone making a prop, or interesting in ancient languages and scripts!
