Deadpool 2:Cable

Too ****ing big and too ****ing heavy. :)

That’s correct. That number for length was just the upper rail.

End to end, mine is 42" in it's current configuration.

Thanks and sorry, I read the other post wrong.
Mine is far from complete but is looking to be 43 ish inches long . which is not as bad as I thought since I overshot the top rail length.

Got one finally

Still working on the BFG, I have some bondo, sanding ,a xtc-3d coating to do but I have been working on another aspect of the costume too.

I want to do the "cables" on the neck
measured up where I wanted it and patterned it.
sculpted it in clay
IMG_20171008_162711378.jpg
Molded it in smoothcast 300
IMG_20171008_164252843.jpg
then cast it in dragon skin fx pro platinum silicone.

Let it cure up and I have piece that I think will be doable .

It needs some trimming and will be smoothed out when stuck on and blended with some makeup ,but I am thrilled with my first pull on this one.

the halves of the vector are epoxied together
bondo applied and sanded
coated in xtc 3d. (nice and shiney)
now a lot of sanding on the xtx 3d to get it ready to prime, and sand some more.....
This is made of plastic almost entirely and is getting some heft to it., I cant imagine how heavy the real one, soulinertia, and zombies is.....

30lbs unloaded when I was done building it. :) That’s when I told the prop master..... “you may want to keep Brolin’s a__ in the gym a tad longer”. Lol

My original idea didn't pan out. So I think I will make an accuracy concession on the Fenix.
Might just get a cheap LED plastic flashlight, paint it black , slap some orange and yellow buttons on it. and be done. lol

Finally had some time to put it together. Had to drill some holes to put screws in to lock the rails on and the launcher.
it came in right at 43 inches long and the final weight when I get the flashlight figured out will be between 8 and 10 lbs.Its a little front heavy as well.
Krank it to 11 knob 3 d printed , the piece it sets on is foam velcroed into place. picatinny rail and the piece its on is all foam velcroed on.
I cant imagine hauling the real thing around this thing is a beast.
Thanks to Kenney (KCPstudio) and Soulinertia for all their input on this thread its been invaluable

Thanks man. I am really happy with the outcome
30-40 hours I believe for print time.
Any suggestions on how to mold this ginormouse thing?
I can figure out the base vector, but the rails .... I am not even sure it's possible?

Got the BFG done and now I am finishing up a few details.
This is my attempt at the boots and buckles

IMG_20171130_215312419.jpgIMG_20171130_215106043.jpg

The boots are some rocky lightweight military boots in coyote brown.
not the accurate boots but close.
thougt about just making the straps but needed the boots to be taller so I made the whole "gaiter" set up.

This a good reference pic of the back of the poncho
But on the BFG there seems to be another turn it to 11 dial and switch panel on a different part of the gun.
Is this a second switch panel or did it move (transform?)
josh-brolin-spotted-in-costume-as-cable-on-deadpool-2-set-01.jpg

it is near his right knee. in line with the trigger of the launcher.
the switches definitely look silver from this shot.

kcpstudio any insight you could give?
