I just finished up a project that means a lot to me so I wanted to share it here. I present the 2016 Commissioner's Trophy awarded to the Chicago Cubs!

The project started with a derivation on how tall each flag pole needed to be. Once I had the equation I plugged it in Excel then made a plywood base and cut each pole out of steel rod.

I sculpted a single flag from SmoothCast 300, then made two molds and pressure cast 30 copies. Each flag is assembled from a cast pennant, tube, and a wood ball on top.

The entire thing was painted with Alclad II laquer paint. It is full size and has a really nice shine to it.

I will have a full Cubs uniform to go with this, so keep an eye out for it at Dragon*Con!
