Hey guys,

I'm about to take on this project for this years' Halloween and really need your help. I'm not sure how to begin the stenciling on her dress, is there a PDF file or anything on here for reference, I cannot find any information on this. Any help would greatly be appreciated! To me it almost looks as though its been lightly bleached, not painted or anything but I can't tell.

might be a case of making thin card stencils and laying them on the dress

Re: Winifred Sanderson Build

Thank you so much for the reference! I really appreciate it, just wanted to share my progress from this weekend, I hand-dyed all of the fabric and started on the under-dress. the base of the dress was made from 100% cotton as I needed to dye it ombre-green, I started with a yellow cotton. The purple is a crinkle Indian cotton. I still have to add more to it and fix some parts, the purple looks like it's meant to layer at the bottom in ruffles, so far I didn't do ruffles so I will have to re-do it. The sleeves have purple lace on them that I have ordered and I also have to tatter up the whole bottom of the dress and add ombre purple dye at the bottom.

This is what I have so far;

Just thought I would share the rest of my Winifred cosplay!

I used about 20 Decocolor paint pens and hand-painted all the designs, I used a brief stencil for the back snake just so I knew roughly where to paint it on. The pens ran out very quickly so it was a very grueling process, I don't recommend it, although I loved the finished look of it as opposed to actual fabric paint.

I used base shoes and added the points and designs, with suede and gold trim.

Re: Winifred Sanderson Build

For Book I used a base encyclopedia and carved out the inside, then covered it with papertowel and Modpodge.

I bought an acrylic eye off ebay and used model-magic for the metal snake bits and for the clasp I made it magnetic and used worbla so it is stronger.

I glued each stitch by hand with hemp cord;

Belladonna obsessed with the final product! you look incredible!!!! I am on my journey of making this costume right now. How did you get purple into the green velvet dress/coat? Was this hand died from white? Appreciate any insight :)
