Disney Closing "The Great Movie Ride" in August

SO. Are we old? Or is it because we're on a prop forum and can appreciate the history that is The Cinema?

I was never on the ride - I've never been to a Disney park (and no desire to do so!), but it sounds like this is a ride I would have liked.

Sigh. Just another example of "Get rid of the past. It never existed."

R.I.P. the Great Movie Ride and MGM/Hollywood Studios. Opening soon: Franchise Studios.

All this time, thought Skynet manufactured Terminators, we now know that it recruited all the now homeless animatronics from classic but closed Disney rides.

Yet honestly, there could be an Ark of the Covenant that needs rescuing?
