Batman Arkham batarang

Currently making a batarang based on the folding ones from the Arkham games. Started designing it on Tuesday & here's my test piece.
I've only done half of it, the first pics are mirrored to show the open & closed positions.
Using this to mess about with finishes but it'll ultimately end up in the bin as it needs a few tweaks.
Hope you like it!

Why it didn't work? What's the problem with this half?
Visually nothing, it's the mechanics of it.
There's cavities in the wing & body for neodymium magnets for it to snap open & closed. Not happy with the way it clicks open so I'm reworking it for more magnets for a firmer click.

Oh. Ok. Anyway, looks pretty nice, besides all these things.

Modeled yourself?
Thanks.
Yeah, it's my model. I drew it up in rhino.
It was only meant to be a quick mess around but proved to be more complicated than I thought, always the way!

Getting there but i'm going to redesign it for bigger magnets as it still doesn't have the snap i'm after.
Also I think it sits too wide in the closed position.
