I purchased the Pepakura files off Aztlan around 6 months ago, but started work on it around February. I was only working on the suit on and off for a few hours at a time throughout the months.

Overall I didn't encounter too many problems, however the shins and forearms were a hassle to get the right shape and sizing with. It took around 2 - 3 attempts on each before I was happy with the results. I tried avoiding seem lines when making the forearms by joining the templates in certain areas.. This caused the parts to have less shape and look less aesthetic. I made the shins without doing any modifications to the templates at first, but it came out far too large and out of proportion to the rest of the suit, so I had to trim areas off templates and even free hand certain areas.

The Chest
was the first part I started with and it went together fairly easy, I added Velcro and strapping to connect the abs section to sit inline with everything, while still being able to remove it. A buckle is hidden on the inside of the side of the chest to allow me to get it on. I had to add padding to where the shoulders sit to raise it up slightly, and I made a very rough 'Box' I glued to the inside of the back so the chest and abs rest closer to my body. Strapping and velcro on the chest piece also helps connect the belt and shoulders.

The Shoulders/ biceps I modified a few times before I was happy with them, originally they were 1 piece just like they are in the Pepakura file, but I ended up connecting the two with staps and buckles. This works well because I can adjust how high or low they sit on each other.

The belt was surprisingly fun to build, I made pouches and center gold piece first and strapped them together before making the base piece to the belt which they attach to.
Rather than making the pouches hollow like the pep file, I made a square box layering on pieces of 9mm/6mm foam until I got the correct dimensions, then used a dremel to add the right shape to it, finished off by adding the details with a hot-knife.

The Thighs and shins are connected with a bolt and thread sitting in i piece of flat plastic (This plastic was cut from a DVD case, which I've used for several things in the past) - Simple but effective.

The gloves were a last minute decision that although aren't entirely accurate, still go well with the suit. They were cheap 'armored gloves' I got a while back from paintball, All i did was use masking tape to mark off the fabric portion of the glove, and sprayed the rest of it the same colour as the suit.
