Thor Ragnarok Armor build!

Hello all! Been a long time since I have been on here and wanted to post some progress photos of the Thor Ragnarok Armor that I have been building.

All of the armor is made from leather, both veg tanned and upholstery, depending on the parts.

Almost all of the harder upper armor is hand sewn together.

Currently working on shoulder piece and bracers. Will update as I go!

Cheers

Thank you guys! I have been very happy with how it is turning out. I am not going to have the time to make the helmet for the con this weekend but I will at least have the shoulder and the arena mace.

This looks amazing!! Great job. Would you be willing to put out a step by step of how you did this/materials used/etc? I would like to do this also but it seems like you have some experience in leather working, where I don't have any. Thanks in advance

Wow dude that looks awesome. I'm working on an Age of Ultron Thor, how did you make your rondels? The round metal pieces.

I appreciate it but I would prefer to make my own this time, I'm entering a cosplay contest, but I would be interested in how you made them.

Haha I wish I made them...no this is a seller on Etsy...you can still enter cosplay contests with costumes that have bought items or pieces on them, just look at the contest rules...

I believe these were 3D printed...

One way you can make rondels is out of EVA foam (probably about 2mm thick maybe 3mm) cut a circle and place the circle inside a bowl...then use a heat gun to heat the foam, this will then form to the bowl, let it dry and boom! foam Rondel...Ive seen a few tutorials online, just do a Google search my man :)

Loads of foam armor tutorials around...hope this helps...

Yeah, that's a really smart way to get a nice round rondel, I just kinda suck at making foam look like metal.

Awesome! How did you get the detail on the light/tan white pieces? Is there another piece of leather underneath that you just scored on top of?
