Cyclops visor help

Pretty novice level here (some knowledge and even less tools). I'm doing a 90's style Cyclops and I'm planning on going with the 'X2 glasses' from X-men 2 (the movie) BUT I want the ear parts to resemble the look of the 'muffs' from the 90's version.



I want it to:

• match the 'finish' or look as the rest of the glasses
• stay lightweight
• be sturdy and not look/feel like it's just wafting in the breeze

I thought hot gluing something would work, but that's about the only idea I have. Any suggestions are welcomed!

I've seen some cheap headphones with the little domes that would perfect.
Hit up one of your bargain stores. Then paint it yellow.

I've had very mixed results with hot glue and plastic so I'd be using a cheap super glue for a stronger grip.
