So after building a Han Solo DL-44 I thought I'd try my hand at a Stormtrooper Blaster ! But this time I wanted my build to look like it was just out of the box and not like it had been carried around buy a trooper for years ! So my build may not be exactly screen accurate but it sure is shiny !

So it's a deactivated Sterling SMG that's been field stripped and powder coated. The the barrel, trigger guard, magazine release, front barrel bolts, firing pin and selector were separated all custom chromed. The scope rail is by the brilliant tosche traders, I requested it it unpainted and it was spicialist aluminium polished to a mirror finish. The power cilinder, hengstler plug and scope cam from the Vmusic store on eBay, initially the front/back of the scope was missing from the kit so the sent me one, I'd started painting the rest and when I test fitted the missing piece I liked it unpainted so it was polished and added as is, that's why the scope has a band round it ! The hengstler kit which I heavily modified to look as close to the real thing as I could by adding the real hengstler plug and the number barrel from a dorman's head counter and various paint effects and the mini magazine replacement (because I didn't want to chop up the original) all cam from Star Wars costumes and props on Etsy. Once I had everything in place it was time to assemble !.........so here are some photos of the finished piece. Like I said not screen accurate but to my spec !

Hello, I just bought a few real sterling parts. I plan to scratch build the rest, or buy more parts depending on how I feel about all the fabricating. But have question. I know that the snap in bullet magazine gets cut down to size. Could the remaining magazine part be modified to work as a shortened magazine? Maybe I could save by buying someone's left over part. Has anyone tried this? Thanks.

Yeah, something like this you have here:

I'm modifying one of the rubies blasters (completely different quality, I know) so I'm following this for the detailed shotsl
