Printed each piece individually and screwed over a 1/4 inch threaded rod. The egg was also printed and used as a mold for the resin topper, which was wet sanded up to 3000 grit sandpaper and then polished using car polish to a nice clear. A crane fly was used for the Mosquito. Overall, i'm pretty happy with it. I may go back and tweak some of the bone segments, maybe use a thicker threaded rod too. As is though is sturdy enough to use as a cane.

Thanks! I made this originally as a one off for a birthday gift, but it turned out so well I think i'm going to start offering these up soon. I've got enough crane flys laying around to do quite a few.

I've since finished a second cane and I think it's getting easier making the tops for these. The only hard part i'm running into now is finding the crane flies.

I've also started a project run in the junk yard, offering up a couple options if anyone is interested.

I think i've gotten petty close IMO
