As always, all the work was done over the original plastic color finish, no paint base coat. Hope you like! You can click any image to get a better resolution, more detailed version. When the others are finished I will do another photoshoot.

It's amazing the kind of detail they can get in these smaller scaled kits these days - details you would only expect to see in larger kits.

And fantastic paint work too. Looks really realistic. If you only showed the pictures I wouldn't expect it to be such a small kit.

Absolutely OUTSTANDING!

I just got mine built (as a break from the Zvezda I am building) and it is truly a nice little beastie. I haven't done any painting yet. It looks cool assembled right out of the box. The paint and weathering you did REALLY showcases the potential that can be brought out in this kit.

Thanks INVAR! I must tell you that it took sometime....and still have 2 more to do. Im thinking of adding a bit of battle damage to the others.

That's killer weathering, Oscar. Delicious. The sort of thing that would make an armor modeler jealous. And you're doing it X3! Yikes!!

Thanks Robiwon and Jaitea! The plastic is sealed with matte clear to get rid of the shine (of course) and provide some grip for the powders. I also used some graphite to create areas of old bare metal (specially around borders) and Vallejo chrome to create newly formed scratches. Additional dry brushing added to create some textures and make some details pop more. I envisioned this thing built with different kinds of metal and in a few areas some very small areas of rust were added.
