Blade Runner 2049 props and replicas

Thanks guys, I love him.

And to answer Buch

Jacobean Oak ronseal woodstain, then light sand of fine paper, then light mist of matt black autopaint.

Another light sand and then a final wipe of woodstain again to even up the edges as they were a little over he top contrast wise.

Nice :)

OK frankly i'm getting tired of being miss-quoted on this thread because people cannot be bothered to read posts. I'm also getting tired of straight up fake news.

I also LOST the bid to Bash on german eBay! :eek I believe it was at 201 Euros?

NO you didn't. I have not bidded on any cigarette tins whatsoever. I have only bought one, the one I posted a picture of that came paired with the other tin my picture. The auction was a buy it now and was just over €30. So please get your information straight before blurting incorrect stuff out on this forum.

What, 201€? I thought Bash said he got it for a steal. you guys have no limits! :eek

I did bro it was €30 euros! (£26 quid :p)

201.00 Euros = $237.03 US dollars. I guess some peoples idea of a steal are different. :lol

Yeah, frankly I think this is getting a bit ridiculous. Gonna have to just forget this prop for awhile, I think.

I agree guys, I wouldn't have paid that for the prop and didn't. €30 is cheap in anyones book :D

Thanks, it's a resin and pewter kit, the weathering sells it alright.
I always say the paint job is the first and last thing people look at :) No matter what the prop or model.

numbers came out a bit odd, really dificult on the end grain, especially oak.

Now I want a cigarette case.....

Man.. it's a shame carving wood is so time consuming, im sure youd make a killing if you made a run of these, that looks amazing!

An amazing job. Spot on! Can wait to start carving mine. Any good tip on how to proceed?

Once again, amazing job! Congrats!

I apologize as I was really only wondering if I had lost a bid to you. Clearly it was not Bash at all. I also did not bid that high, it was the end result. These are so rare that I made the assumption and made an ass out of just me!

With regards to the sock box size, anyone know the size of the glass 330ml or 410ml? (not the highball version)

Shorter one looks right to me, here’s a similar comparison to the shots you posted.

That looks incredible!

I was lucky to chase 2 tins, one of the current ones on ebay i had actually bought, paid, received feedback and been noted as shipped. Seller than refunded and relisted a so called 'out of stock' item. Must of realised the value in these. Hopefully my other one will actually be posted soon so fingers crossed

Awesome job! And thanks for the tips!

Here are some images of the Kyriazi tin that I have found. This one is made for 100 cigarettes so it is a little deeper than the original but still gives off the same type of look to me. I have also placed labels over the original "Egyptian" text at the top and over NEPTUNE. I think this was called NEPTUNE due to the deeper box of 100. Anyway, this works well in my BR display and I'm happy with it. I have another one coming and will decide which one I keep. Both will be labeled and I also plan to take the white paint off the best I can.
