Re: BCD lifesize props

This stuff is simply amazing!

I saw much of it at SW Celebration and it looked great!

Do you guys have build logs on how each was made?

Here are some progress pictures of Rey's Speeder Bike.

It's a metal welded frame with a wood structure with fiberglass ontop.
It has 4 wheels under the frame for easy transportation.

Here are some pictures of the Darth Vader's Actis 2 Interceptor

The cockpit is made the same technique as boatbuilding. First a metal frame was welded and small strips of wood were used to make a smooth base. Then allot of fiberglass and putty was used.

The wings are made of wood with plywood plating.

Re: BCD lifesize props

That's some really awesome stuff. Great job on everything! :)

How about a life-sized B-wing starfighter? Now that would be a challenge! :p

Here is one of our latest builds. A Lifesize taun taun called Johnny five toes.

Re: BCD lifesize props

We had some dino animatronics that we wanted to convert. So we chopped of it's head. Grinded of the metal structure of the head and straight tail.
Next we welded a new metal structure with new movement and a long neck.

Then we started sculpting the head, molded and casted it. We fixed it to the structure and wrapped the entire dino in fur.

Et voila! A taun taun!

Re: lifesize props (taun taun)

Hey rundown ! That's AWESOME! And a Tie Fighter in the background? That's a cool place to work!

So, is this a nickle ride? Or is it a photo prop? If it has a saddle, someone has to be able to sit on it correct? ;)
