Alright guys! Finally here she is! Another fully assembled, all real parts Obi Wan saber. I am over the moon with this beauty and I cant believe I am lucky enough to have this in my collection. Many Thanks to @teecrooz, who has been amazing helping me through the hunt for the pieces.

These are the only two shots I've got so far, but I'll taking better one this weekend. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed putting it together! Oh and Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Very very nice indeed, I never get tired of looking at newly assembled sabers, they all have there own distinctive looks !! Or is that just me !!

The twins are home ! They’ve had a bath, now for some TLC after years of not being appreciated

Welcome to your new home

I had to have a set plated twice. The first time... something may have gotten underneath the plating or it was a bad job, but it started flaking off from a bump on them. Second time around it worked great. I forget the contact I used, it was somewhere out west.

beautiful find! that's how it's supposed to be, finding things in the wild!

There is a local place near me that does chrome plating, I’m going to get some prices over the next few days and hopefully I will have my first items for my first all original parts saber ( bank balance willing )

I passed along one I had that was untouched but now wish I still had it. I want the original part sitting on my shelf.

There’s a plastic chromer here in CO near me and it would be $75 to do the entire part, as an idea of what it could cost.

In a bit of a predicament
I’m struggling to undress the twins, I know these should separate into 4 pieces,
1 top
2 top cowl
3 bottom cowl
4 tap body
do I keep trying and hopefully don’t break anything OR just send it to the platers complete and just chrome the lot
anybody got any tips in separating them

Roman did a tutorial, here:

I really only remembered because I sent my amber cubed handwheels to him to get ‘unstuck’!

Congrats on a gorgeous build!! :thumbsup Teecrooz is the man! Where would many in this community be without him?

If I find more this is the first place I will be offering them, for builders only not for someone to sell on and rip people off ( inflated prices just pi$$es me off )

Add me to your list, please, should you find more. I've got a "C" I'd love a "H" :love
Your twins are beautiful!

Magnificent achievement! Beautiful piece. I see you went op-amps. It would be fascinating to hear what your solution was for the less visible bits, and the parts used for holding it all together.

And yes, teecrooz is to be lauded. I know several of my parts have his name in their provenance. So much would not be possible if it weren't for this great community.
