it the same like on model kits, 10 thousend versions of ME-109 in all scales available - the sales is like for food...
or Tiger or Phanter exists from lots of modell makers...
An X-Wing makes more sense for deAgo instead an less known modell - they make it not only for the experts ;-)
At the moment the X-wing is a 4 issue test run in some regions in UK. I have currently no news if deAgo plan to do test runs in Germany for R2-D2 and X-Wing later in this year.Torsten, do you know if this is available in Germany now as a test run ? Or is test run only in UK, and this info above is if it goes full subscription ?
I bet ya they will launch a TIE Fighter in the next six months.
As I am only at issue 52 for the Falcon (Germany stared late) and I will finish my Studio Scale X-Wing before even thinking about the 1/18 X-Wing...I guess
I believe that if they made the X-wing 1/43 in scale with the Falcon it would sell like hotcakes. Anybody that bought a Deago Falcon would want one simply to display next to it. And at a lower price point it would be far more affordable to the casual modeller/ SW fan. But the Deagostini market research team probably decided that the market for that scale is already far too saturated with the likes of Bandai and Revell's 1/48 offerings. And that it would be difficult to compete with those kits on pricing.
...
To say that this X-wing makes sense would explain the overwhelming support and excitement at this microcosm (RPF)--except that it's not overwhelming support and excitement.
This is the 1/48 Finemolds X-Wing on the deAgo Millennium Falcon. How will be 1/43 scale X-Wing makeable a part work issue?
It would be a short run part work. Even with a lighting kit it would only take 5 or 6 issues. However they could then proceed to offer other ships in 1/43 like the T-70, Y-Wing, Tie, and even Slave 1, all as part of a series of ships like they did with the Star Wars helmets collection.
I think that you are missing something. There is no claim as with the Falcon that this is an exact replica to the filming miniature. In case there was any confusion they even made it their own scale. So effectively, they can make it any way they want and not be held to the same standard as the Falcon. So, kind of a bummer this is not a studio scale model. Come to think of it, this thread shouldn't probably be in the SS commercial kit section.
yeah isn't the DeAgo falcon the ONLY commercial studio scale model?
