Brass dive helmet? Cue the Scooby Doo music:)

Has anyone attempted a recreation? It seems straightforward if you could find a big brass or copper orb.

I could spray paint a plastic one but it would not have the same appearance. I found the Dive helmet guru. Talk about an embarrassment of riches.

Read this thread and ended up buying one of Mark V helmets from Helmets of the Deep. RPF has done nothing good for my bank account. :facepalm

Finally making some progress on this. Never too early to start Halloween:) I am making a Daphne costume for my wife and I will be Capt Cutler. I have a lot of work to do on the helmet but i found a suction towel rack that fits perfectly. One I attach it and cut out the face plate, it will swing open in dramatic fashion.

I spent hours this weekend hot gluing flower arraignments and putting birthday stickers on hundreds of Hershey kisses for my wife's sister's 50th bday party. The reward, she will put the costume on long enough for a picture.
However, I think this might be pushing it:(
