The Last Jedi Graflex Research - Spoilers inside!

Re: The Last Jedi Graflex Research - NOT missing rivets!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got back from Barnes and Noble. The customer service lady was kind enough to go in the back and search for the new issue for me in the box of magazines that they had received yesterday. She comes back with a BIG OLE armful stack of brand new EMPIRE magazines, a sense of accomplishment smile on her face, "It's in!" except it's this...

Big frown :( !!!

The October issue will not be out until October she says.

Hey halliwax ! What kind of "store" did you see this at already?

Amazon? I didn't realize they had a storefront. Who is it really? Or are you just pulling our legs on having seen it? Barnes and Noble is all there is around here, and I don't think they have more than 400 titles, so at 4000, if that's true, you have something very special out there that I've never heard of!

Honest to god, I'll swing by today and snap some pictures. I don't know who owns them, I know they have 2 stores, 1 here in my town and 1 roughly 40 minutes west of me.

I use to collect some car magazines, I used to be there weekly. Then they came out with a rare truck magazine (a truck I owned) there was only 9 issues before it got canceled. No one carried it except them.

I had a buddy that worked there at one time, I don't know if I should say this but he use to hold 1 issue of the truck magazine for me, mostly every magazine they carry they only have 2 maybe 3 issues for sale. So they have a LARGE variety but small counts on each. They split the volume of the mags between each stores

At the end of the month he was in charge of recycling all the old mags, he would also give me the car magazines.

If u went to his apartment there was porno mags freak'n everywhere... and I mean everywhere go to get a fork or knife out of the cabinet draw... damn porno mags in there too... ( that's another story )

As for the 4000 titles that's what there logo is " with over 4000 titles in store " my buddy stocked those shelfs for many years, he will tell you come inventory night it's over 4000

They also carry trading cards.

As for barns and nobles, mine sucks!! They never have anything...

Re: The Last Jedi Graflex Research - NOT missing rivets!

So when I went to the store the other night. I called before hand, he told me he had empire with 2 guys on the cover (no robot hand).

So I road my bike out there, I went into the store and asked him where empire is, there was a line of people getting power ball tickets. He pointed to where it is, I couldn't find it so I asked again, the guy told me I was looking right at it. He's jammed up with taking people's numbers and seemed aggregated at me. I asked him again are u sure, and he said kinda pissed "right there front row ur looking right at it!!" Sure enough there was the blue cover far left...

Embarrassed I grabbed it and flipped through quickly. (Ur allowed to flip but not read ) Some good pictures of Star Wars but no new lightsaber pics

I was in my bike tights, and no back pack so I left it there (there was 2)

So I went there this morning to go prove a point that we have it. Went to the same location and....

Anxious and embarrassed I grabbed the wrong damn magazine.....

So I talked with the guy working there right now, we have the hulk cover too. He said he just put that issue out, its brand new. We won't get the next one until next month. He said we are 1 month behind the U.K.

The U.K. Got it Thursday, I thought we all got it Thursday. I went Tuesday night (I think it was Tuesday) because new breaks always has the mags out early

So I got embarrassed twice, the night I was looking for it and right now... it is kinda funny though I guess...

No wonder why there was barely any ep8 pics in that magazine...

So long story short US won't get it until next month

Re: The Last Jedi Graflex Research - NOT missing rivets!

Hey halliwax ! TOO FUNNY!!! :lol The store is named "Newsbreak" , now I get it! I thought you were saying, "DUH! Dit-dit-dit, dit-dit-dit, dit-dit-dit, NEWS BREAK(like 'news flash'), new at 11:00, it's the store that carries 4000 titles. DUH~!" As though I was supposed to know the store's name or something. Totally makes sense now seeing "newsbreak" without the space on the building and knowing it's a retailer.

No apology necessary, I appreciate knowing I'm not the only one to not have it yet! :)

Now I wonder if the "Collectors' Edition" copy that I bought from eBay will be here before the Newstand Edition hits the U.S. store-shelves?:confused
