Hey Guys! Im new around this forum (TDH member for a while) and I wanted to show you guys a project that I'm working on right now.
Its the concept Boba bucket from McQuarrie. I think its one of the best helemt designs and I fell in love with it the moment I first saw it so I tought i give it a shot.
Im not going to post the whole progress because I've finished the sculpting today (actually 99% because I need to smooth it down here and there) but this is how it looks at the very moment:

That looks great, are you using clay as a medium to make this prototype?

I guess you intend to mold this and make out of resin/fibre glass?

Yes Im going to do a silicone mold of it.
Then Im going to fill and sand the first cast make a silicone mold of that and that will be the final mold.

That's cool. My daughter currently makes Mandalorian helmets but generally starts with pepukra then fibre glasses/fills before arriving at a product she can mold. Did you ever try this? I am wondering which method arrives at a moldable product quicker?

Although she'd say by doing it her way you can wear the prototype!

I used the pepakura method for years. Harder to smooth it down or do adjustments when needed but it is defenietly faster than sculpting.
