Randy Cooper Metrokab and Base w/ VooDooFX Light kits

I'm delighted to share news and some photos of an ongoing build of a Randy Cooper Metrokab and base with light kits from Randy Neubert of voodoofx. It is being assembled for me by a truly talented model maker that resides in WI. IMO, aside from a Cooper Spinner, the only thing better I could add to my humble BR collection would be screen used props.

Anyhow, I'm being told that the kab is going to be quite heavy once completed even without the base which rules out displaying in a Detolf cabinet. That's a testament to the excellent quality of Randy's kits. Here are a few photos showing the ongoing construction. Randy posted the first photo on his fb page and it shows the kit shortly before it was shipped.

Love it! Randy did a stellar job on that one for sure:cool Looking forward to see the whole thing completed.

It's really looking good (are you going to do wash with grimes and such?) While I like the fact that you're trying to put some props inside it, careful with the scale of it; seems that that bottle is way too big.

It will undergo some weathering, if that's what you mean. As for the bottles that come with the kit, yes they do look a tad bit too large. I'll probably end up placing them in passive, somewhat obscure locations like Randy did in these photos I collected from his blog (or his facebook page - can't remember which).
